Environmentally Friendly Tree Thinning & Land Clearing.

Fast and cost effective. Trees and shrubs are mulched in place to ground level. Small chips decompose quickly. No high cost extraction of slash. No hauling waste to landfills. No burning. Any larger trees you need to have removed can be cut and limbed (limbs are mulched, of course!) and placed out of the way for firewood, or whatever you so desire.

Brush clearing removes the potential for catastrophic fires. It eliminates 'ladder fuels' which carry fire to heights where they are unmanageable. It provides for a fuel break, and can be used for tree stand improvement with select cutting. This can help keep a fire down low on the ground where it can be more readily controlled. The results are a minimal fuel source, with no slash left to burn. Chips help protect the soil from drying out, reduce erosion and provide nutrients for the forest floor. The terrain is clean and clear of debris and allows quicker growth of native grasses. This method is less invasive than the conventional ways of thinning. It is easy on the environment with minimal disturbance, and in most cases, costs about half as much as conventional methods.

We are set up with 2 types of machines. An excavator carrier has the mulcher on the end of the boom, allowing it to reach high and out, allowing for rough terrain and tall trees. A skidsteer carrier is compact for tight spaces. Both machines are are currently track mounted and the skidsteer is able to be used without them. Each is efficient in their applications.
